Skagit Lines
Skagit heads/lines were developed in the Pacific Northwest on the banks of the Skagit River. These lines were created by the likes of Dec Hogan, Ed Ward, Scott O'Donnell, and Mike McCune to help throw large flies on heavy sink tips with a lot less effort. In the heavy flows and cold water of winter anglers needed a line that was easy to cast a long distance with heavy sink tips and large flies. Skagit lines have gown in popularity and are now designed in a variety of weights and lengths. Skagit lines are designed to throw various tips from 15' floating tips, 15' sink-tips and custom T-14 or lead-core tips.
